The American Legion Riders chapter is well known for their charitable work, which has raised hundreds of thousands of dollars for local children’s hospitals, schools, veterans homes, severely wounded service members and scholarships. Since 2006, Riders nationwide have participated in The American Legion Legacy Run to annually raise money for the Legacy Scholarship Fund, established to provide scholarships to children of U.S. military personnel killed since Sept. 11, 2001.

The American Legion Riders are motorcycle enthusiasts who actively participate in Fred Y. McConnell American Legion Post 51 events in Concord and the surrounding area. Their strength and loyalty to our organization is truly inspiring. Today, there are hundreds of Legion Rider programs and projects that have been formed to further the cause of veterans and active duty military. This Chapter of ALR for Post 51 is had its’ initial meeting in the Canteen on Monday Feb 3, 2014 at 1830. All members of the American Legion family (Legionnaires, SAL and Women’s Aux) that are motorcycle enthusiasts or supporters are welcome to attend the monthly meetings that occur the first Monday of the month at 7 PM in the Canteen.
